3 Tips on How to Easily Monetize Your Motorcycle Blog
So, the question is, “If all these guys do is write and talk about what they love doing, then how in the world are they making any money at it?” I’m so glad you asked! This is exactly what this blog post is, as William Shatner would say, going to try and find out.
Okay, I’m trying something new here. If any of you know anything about blogging, it’s that you have to keep every post fresh and unique. It’s really hard to do sometimes, so I thought I would take this opportunity to write about writing and specifically how to make money doing it.
I have a few favorite YouTube channels that I am subscribed to and the one thing that I like about them is that they are all both informative and entertaining at the same time. One of them is Yammie Noob (https://www.youtube.com/c/yammienoob), who does motorcycle and gear reviews, another one is Bikes and Beards (https://www.youtube.com/c/BikesandBeards), who do some crazy stuff within the motorcycle niche, and the other favorite is Brandon Herrera.

Brandon’s channel, https://www.youtube.com/c/BrandonHerrera, isn’t about motorcycles but is about some of my other obsessions, like firearms, ammunition, and what is going on currently inside the world of gun rights legislation. He is very informative on reviews and also uses a lot of humor (as they all do) to get certain points across.
Now they use the YouTube platform and their posts are all videos but it is evident that before ever stepping in front of the camera, they have a script that they work from. In fact, most of them will show outtakes from the video that never made it to production but the point is – they all write about what they are interested in.

Many riders enjoy blogging (and bragging) about their motorcycle adventures, and it’s a great way to build a community and connect with other riders. Here’s a look at how you can monetize your motorcycle blog and make a little money on the side.
Maybe you’ve been writing your motorcycle blog for a while now, and while the pageviews have been growing, so has your skepticism about how you’ll be able to make money from this passion project. Well, fear not, because you have a lot of monetization options available to you!
Tip #1: Sell Advertising

Selling ads is the most common method for monetizing a blog, and it works well for the motorcycle blog niche. Because companies know that many motorcycle lovers will click on ads for gear they want, they’ll pay you to make that happen. You can sell static banner ads or allow sponsored posts, in which companies tell their story while peppering in links.
While ad revenue might be a small percentage of your overall profits in the beginning, it can grow as your blog grows in readership!
Tip #2: Sell items you review

Some bloggers choose to sell the products they review. For example, if you had a motorbike review blog, you could sell used motorcycles from a dealership that offers ads on your site. While some bloggers feel weird about this, it’s a common way for blogs around the world to make money.
You can also sell related items. For example, while you’re reviewing motorcycles, you may be interested in selling related products such as helmet cams, protective gear, and accessories. They could be relevant to your readers and you can link to appropriate sellers who offer ad space on your blog.
Surrounding the content you wish to emphasize with sales offers will encourage readers to take action and buy something from you.
Tip #3: Sell the Results

Your product or service can get people to take action in ways that writing a paragraph of copy text alone can’t. For example, a heating and air conditioning company submitted a website design that featured a temperature gauge next to an offer to “Find Out What Your Room Temperature Says About Your Business”.
When visitors click to learn more, they see a measurement indicating an extreme level of stress. The copy explains that high levels of stress are just like high levels of temperature and offers the company’s services to take the stress out of managing your business’s temperature.
The above scenario can also be used with a motorcycle blog if you happen to be a small engine mechanic, upholsterer, or any other number of products or services that have to do with motorcycles.
