Eureka Springs Harley Davidson Bike Rally: Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue 2022
It was the Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue weekend at Rogers, Arkansas and I don't think I've ever seen as many bikes and riders as I did this last Saturday!
Well, to start off with, I've been doing some graphics work on my black motorcycle, Lela, and experimenting with decals and airbrushing techniques. So, don't judge too harshly the pics I'm presenting here because everyone has had to start somewhere, right? I took her out to the lake yesterday and got some (more) videos and pics.
It seems that I had just got back from Paris, Texas, Idabel, and Hugo, Oklahoma a week or so ago, then went to Branson to see the Jesus play at the Branson Sight and Sound Theater but we didn't take any motorcycles on that little overnighter.
On the other hand, we did motor down to the bike rally at Eureka Springs Harley Davidson over this last weekend and did a 3-6 p.m. shift at our Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) ministry tent. It was the Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue weekend at Rogers, Arkansas and I don't think I've ever seen as many bikes and bikers as I did this last Saturday!

(Of course I've not been to Sturgis either - yet). We stayed over at the Four Seasons hotel in Cassville, MO after leaving the dealership in Eureka and headed back home the next day to go to my grandson's first birthday party in Tulsa. It was a wham-bam-thank-ya-ma'am weekend for sure!
I didn't take Lela to Arkansas but did take Ena, my '06 Roadliner 1900. I think that's the farthest I've ever ridden her. It was a lot of fun and the rally was truly an amazing site to behold - thousands of bikes and bikers cruising the route 23 Pig Trail through Missouri and Arkansas!

It has been a lot of fun over the past few days but this week has been non-stop! I think it has taken a toll on my sleep-wake pattern and interrupted my productivity cycle as well. I have enjoyed being out on the road on the motorcycles and feel right at home on the open road; traveling through the surrounding countryside and areas I rarely get to see.
Oliver’s birthday party was amazing as well and I have to hand it to my son and daughter-in-law for creating and coordinating this spectacular event. I was surprised at how many people showed up and all the cool stuff that my little grandson received from them.
It actually put a smile on my face to see the little guy having so much fun! I don’t get to see him as often as I would like and when I do, I feel like it’s never long enough. I mean, it’s not like they live so far away or anything.

I really should try to get over there and see them more often – while I still can. Well, of course, my son could bring him over here too but I can’t wait for him to do that. Oh, and my son also created his own version of Spider Man called “Night Spider”.
It’s truly a one-off creation that he’s done and has even come up with a back story for him and everything. Nothing doing that he didn’t dress up like Night Spider and get his picture made with everyone at the party. I must admit it was pretty cool too.

Okay, I have to get back to work on my thesis and get this blog post put to bed. I’m just glad I can have some time to take it easy for awhile before the next maelstrom arrives.
Thanks for reading and I promise I will have more content coming soon about the number of pets at the motorcycle rally and some ingenious ways to create fire in a survival situation. Until then – keep on keeping on!
